We have to acknowledge that each supply chain disruption uncovers that we are not very good at supply chain risk management as it is conducted today. We do not learn from past disruptions. We are not able to predict future events, still, we tend to overengineer probabilities instead of quantifying vulnerabilities. We know the top 10 critical resources in our networks, but we do not know the criticality of all of them. We fail to design and allocate suitable mitigation options.
Joining the “SCM Webinar Wednesday” in cooperation with Supply Chain Media, Thomas Ebel and Dr. Iris Heckmann offer answers to the most critical questions in supply chain risk management:
- Why traditional risk management fails to build resilient supply chains?
- How to start the journey towards E2E supply chain resilience?
- What does risk-aware decision-making practically look like? Insights from a customer use case
