Logistics on the Move

CAMELOT presents answers to the questions of tomorrow at the International Supply Chain Conference 2019

Mannheim, 10/23/2019 The consulting specialist and innovation leader CAMELOT Management Consultants will present strategies and concepts at this year’s annual congress of the global supply chain network BVL aimed at preparing companies for current and future challenges. Capacity bottlenecks, climate protection, and demand-driven supply chains are some of the key topics in this area. Logistics experts from CAMELOT will be available to conference visitors for discussions from October 23 to 25 at booth P/23.

The congress organizers have chosen the motto “Inspire Encourage Act” and with its booth design CAMELOT is encouraging visitors to climb a mountain, which must be tackled boldly to achieve the heights of an on-demand, sustainable, and transparent supply chain. To do this, it is important to both optimize the basic processes and tackle new challenges, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. This is how competitiveness, performance, and reliability are increased.

Climate protection in view

CAMELOT’s consulting portfolio as presented at the congress includes concepts and solutions that make sustainable business possible, for example by reducing plastic packaging in logistics. “Together with our customers, we are shaping the digital transformation of their supply chains to prepare them for today’s urgent strategic issues. Sustainability aspects are playing an increasingly greater role in this,” says Dr. Josef Packowski, Managing Partner at CAMELOT. “That’s why we recently launched the GreenMind² Competence Center.” GreenMind² offers concrete concepts and digital solutions for implementing a sustainable supply chain, and promoting “green” business practices.

Demand-Driven Supply Chain

Visitors to CAMELOT at booth P/23 can also find out more about the concept known as the Demand-Driven Supply Chain. In the recently published study “Demand-Driven Radar 2019”, the majority of supply-chain executives surveyed ranked demand-driven transformation and integrated business planning as the key initiatives in improving supply chain performance. There are also new opportunities for logistics here.

Avoiding capacity bottlenecks

Since the logistics capacities of the market have not developed in recent years at the same rate as the increase in demand for transport services, businesses are increasingly faced with the challenge of coping with capacity bottlenecks. In order to counteract this sustainably, holistic packages of measures must be implemented for strategic and operational logistics. These topics and more will be addressed intensively by CAMELOT at this year’s International Supply Chain Congress.
