Third recognition in a row with the “TOP 100 innovation award”
Mannheim, 7/2/2018 – CAMELOT Management Consultants, global consulting specialist for value chain management, is once again among Germany’s innovation elite in 2018. For the third time in a row, the company has been awarded the “Top 100” award for its innovative strength and exceptional innovation success. The innovation competition’s mentor, Ranga Yogeshwar, handed over the award as part of a festive ceremony in Ludwigsburg last Friday.
In the independent selection process, the consulting specialists particularly convinced in the field of open innovation. “Rapid digitalization fuels and shortens innovation cycles. That requires even more agile and intelligent collaborations, above all with customers and technology partners,” says Dr. Josef Packowski, Managing Partner at CAMELOT, about the award. “With our agile Digital EXPERIENCE2 concept, we are developing tangible use cases in collaboration with our customers, based on new innovative technologies.”
Another beacon for open innovation at CAMELOT is the international innovation community for artificial intelligence (AI) in master data management, which CAMELOT launched at the start of this year. It is an open community that connects customers as well as leading MDM and AI proponents from research and practice, thereby promoting discussion and the targeted transfer of knowledge. The first innovation cycle has already created a personal assistant in the form of a chatbot, which is intended to support companies in the daily maintenance of their master data.
The path to such innovation success is not always easy, as scientific journalist and TV presenter Ranga Yogeshwar, the “TOP 100” competition’s mentor, notes: “Successful innovators often meet with resistance: They change processes, break the rules in their industries, experience setbacks and yet still dare to do something new. They stick with it, rooted in the conviction they can make it better. That sets them apart.”
As the only competition in Germany, TOP 100 highlights the innovative strength of a company from different viewpoints. It does not just focus on individual inventions but the processes and the company culture which have enabled these innovations to take place in the first place. Scientific lead at TOP 100 is Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
