The “Gulf Petrochemical Association” (GPCA) is one of the most relevant influencers in the petrochemical and chemical industry along the GCC states. The prestigious institution annually hosts the “GPCA Supply Chain Conference”, which represents an ideal platform for the exchange of industry experts.
Camelot Managing Partner Marcus Meissner and Head of Logistics Mark Appleyard were personally invited to attend this year`s GPCA Supply Chain Conference as one of the main guest speakers.
Mr. Meissner is representing Camelot’s customer Royal Commission of Yanbu and will speak about the “Future Logistics Gateway of Saudi Arabia & MENA region – Update” by referring to the major Royal Commission – Cities Highlights, the outcome of the MMLH study in 2014 and the current status and next steps.
In his speech, Mark Appleyard will introduce regulations for the road transport of dangerous goods in the GCC and provide an update about future outlooks on the topic.
The 8th GPCA Conference, being held from May 2-4, will be focusing on the progress of the ”Gulf Sustainability Assessment System (Gulf SQAS). The system, which was introduced by GPCA in 2014, aims to improve the performance of logistics companies of the chemical supply chain in the region, mainly addressing road transport companies and warehouse operators.
