Excellent partnership between business and academia

CAMELOT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS Assistant Professorship for Supply Chain Management at the University of Mannheim

In order to advance academic research and teaching in the field of Supply Chain Management not only through innovative consulting solutions, but also in an excellent academic environment, Camelot is endowing the CAMELOT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS Assistant Professorship for Supply Chain Management at the Business School of the University of Mannheim. Dr. Josef Packowski, Managing Partner at Camelot Management Consultants, explains the decision: “Camelot sets itself apart from its competitors through the constant evolution of consulting solutions. New approaches are demanded in the optimization of global value and supply chains with their increasing complexity, dynamics and volatility. Innovation and excellence form our most important strategic differentiation criteria and our central mission in this process. The University of Mannheim, which has been lauded on numerous occasions within the framework of the nationwide Academic Excellence Initiative, is therefore the ideal partner for us.”

When it comes to the optimization of international value and supply chains in the process industry, Camelot is among the innovation leaders within the field of Supply Chain Management, and would like to contribute to the development of the subject at the Business School of the University of Mannheim with the Assistant Professorship. The Area Operations will thus grow from currently three to a total of four professorships. The dialogue between science and practice is an important part of the successful concept of the University of Mannheim's Business School. The holder of the Chair of Logistics at the Business School, Professor Dr. Moritz Fleischmann, adds: “The newly created professorship for Supply Chain Management strengthens our faculty in a central field of the future. We are very grateful that Camelot is making a contribution to this by further expanding the personnel resources in this field at our Business School.” Michail Heinmann, Visionary Officer at Camelot, adds: “With the University of Mannheim, we have won an excellent partner for this, in the truest sense of the word – according to our service commitment: Value Chain Excellence.”
